Happy Halloween!

So i'm sitting on my couch relaxing after the busy fun filled weekend i had. It was the best Halloween I've ever celebrated! (Mainly because i haven't dressed up or really celebrated the holiday in YEARS but none the less...) There's nothing i love more than a weekend with the girls; the beautiful suites, fun Halloween costumes, and clubs were simply icing on top of the cake! Birthday cake that is...for Michelle's 21st birthday! I ordered some fun cupcakes from The Cupcakery in Vegas as a treat for everyone for coming. And i also got my bunny a special cupcake!

Friday night was so great staying at the Mandalay Bay and going to the Foundation Room! Val came out & played with us too, it was such a great night. Saturday was spent relaxing and walking around the strip doing some shopping and playing cards with Michelle! Then dinner at T&T: Tacos & Tequilla and off to the Tao where we got comp admission and open bar. I had so much fun dancing with everyone all dressed up in our costumes for Halloween.
Striking a pose! Our winnings!! Dinner @ T&T

The drive back today was pretty rough, i'm exhausted from all the fun this weekend and the 6 hours back to salt lake was quite boring to say the least! But never the less this weekend was the best ever! I hope Michelle had a great 21st birthday and everyone else had a great holiday too!

This weekend i'm going to wonderful, magical, spontaneous Las Vegas! - and i couldn't be more excited. We're celebrating Michelle's 21st birthday and we're going to be down there for Halloween too! We have suites at Mandalay Bay and the Luxor too! With a few birthday surprises for Michelle thrown in of course. This weekend couldn't get better :)

I'll make sure to upload pics and tell you all about it when i get back!

Founders Day/Homecoming 2010

My mom and i traveled to Cedar recently for Homecoming & an Alpha Phi Founder's Day celebration. It was so great to see everyone again, and meet the new initiates of Alpha Phi! We had such a good time at Initiation, the Homecoming parade & game, and Alumni Tea - here are some pictures from the weekend!

i fell in love with this quote...

"I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But i was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together."

Red Cross = :)

The past couple weeks have been absolutely crazy! I've been taking a lot of classes and finishing up some more training with the Red Cross but, i'm now a certified CPR & first aid instructor! YAY! I'm taking more disaster services classes as well, hoping to get deployed soon. So keep your fingers crossed for me!

On a side note, September is national Preparedness Month, do you know what to do in a disaster? Make sure you have a kit, make a plan, and be informed! Visit utahredcross.org for more tips on being prepared!
